For use with Cardiac Science’s Powerheart G5 AED range. The Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Paediatric pads are essential for using a defibrillator on a child (aged 1-8). With ease of use in mind the G5 electrode pads are manufactured with large and clear placement instructions, to help save vital seconds during the minutes following a cardiac arrest. Once connected the pads reduce the joule output of the AED, taking it to a level suitable for a child’s heart.

Supplied as a starter kit, the infant/child reduced energy electrodes for the Physio-Control Lifepak defibrillators come with a handy carry case and easy to follow instruction card, making them ideal to store with the Lifepak in case of an emergency. Once connected to the defibrillator, the infant/child electrodes receive a reduced energy shock level when treatment is required. This is to ensure that the correct level of treatment is administered to children aged between 1 to 8 years old or less than 25kg in weight.
-

Ensuring a reduced energy shock level is administered during treatment, the Physio-Control Lifepak infant/child electrodes are designed for use on young patients. When connected to a Physio-Control Lifepak defibrillator, the unit automatically recognises the electrodes and adjusts the energy shock level to suit. This is to ensure that the correct level of treatment is administered to children aged between 1 to 8 years old or less than 25kg in weight.

We recommend you keep a spare pair of electrode pads in your rescue kit to ensure your device can always be used to save a life. The Paediatric switch on the Lifepak CR2 means these electrodes can be used on both adult and paediatric patients. Once you have replaced your electrode pads, a new expiry date and status will automatically update on your online AED Management page.
